One Nation Under The Son - The celebration of Black History is not a race thing, or a creed thing. It is a spiritual adventure. Expanding our minds, with diversity and learning the history of our christian brothers and sisters is paramount in serving the community.

For five years, College Avenue Baptist Church has been offering this celebration of Black History, One Nation Under The Son. This event is a celebration of Black History through entertainment, education and Love. Bobby Simmons, Event Coordinator says the goal of this event is " to spread God's Love through education, entertainment and most of all Love. The knowing of One's self is a good thing" Bobby is assisted, this year, by Hilari Ford.

100 Black Men of San Diego - Founded in 1986, 100 Black Men of America, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support to 88 national chapters in 27 states, the District of Columbia and four international chapters. More than 6,000 dedicated volunteer members have touched the lives of over 120,000 youths. Through Four For the Future programs, which emphasize the national focus on mentoring, education, health and wellness, and economic development, youths are empowered to reach their fullest potential.

El Cajon Youth Football and Cheer - It is the mission of El Cajon Youth Football & Cheer to set the standards in youth sports. In addition to having fun, ECYFC believes we will build character in today's youth by teaching respect, responsibility, fairness and good sportsmanship. These are values we believe are essential to the social and emotional development of our youth. As mentors, we are teaching the fundamentals of football and cheer in a safe yet a competitive environment. As supporters of academic excellence and good citizenship we hope to empower our youth.

Rancho Santa Fe Big Band - A non-profit organization, the Rancho Santa Fe Big Band is dedicated to the presentation and preservation of the best of big band swing music in America over the past 70 years. This 17-piece band plays the great musical literature of the big swing bands, from Glenn Miller to Count Basie. Featuring outstanding local arrangers like Sammy Nestico, Tom Ferrier and Jack Wheaton, with others furnishing new and exciting arrangements and compositions. Featuring the delightful, sultry vocals of Marie Addario.

The Rancho Santa Fe Big Band is not only dedicated to the music, but to the community as well. Net proceeds, from their performances, benefit a variety of local charities and organizations. Recipients include KSDS Jazz Radio, Camp Pendleton Family Food Drive, Rancho Santa Fe Senior Center, Garden Club and Community Center, to name a few.
